Fife Childcare Services provides a range of childcare services throughout Fife, including around 50 Out of School Clubs for children aged 4 - 14 years old and local Creches for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.Requirements
You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and maintain their registration in addition you must hold or be willing to work towards a relevant childcare and/or early years qualification commensurate with the post, as per SSSC requirements, e.g. Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) 2 Social Services (Children and Young people) at (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 5, NC Early Education and Childcare, SVQ 2 Playwork or any of the qualifications on the Practitioners list.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.Responsibilities
Working on an 'as and when' required basis to cover staff absence, you will assist the Creche Services Manager and Creche Services Co-ordinator in the running and operation of the Mobile Creche Service.
You will be responsible for the care, play and learning of babies and children up to 12 years. The work is varied involving working at different locations throughout Fife with different groups of young children.
