An exciting opportunity has arisen within our co-located Child and Adult Protection Unit for a Child Protection & Reviewing Officer. The post holder will work as part of a small dedicated team in central borders to oversee child protection work within the authority area. The post holder will have responsibility for operating within the child protection duty system as well as chairing case conferences; Vulnerable Young Person's conferences and LAAC Reviews. The post holder will be responsible for managing cases through the IRD process and onto child protection investigation. There will be opportunities to develop skills in the presentation of training alongside colleagues from health, police, education and voluntary organisations. We endeavour to offer the highest standards of child protection to our children and families and work in partnership with our colleagues in locality to achieve the best outcomes for service users. We are continually developing methods to quality assure our practice and provision of service and there will be opportunities to bring your skills and knowledge in this area into the work place.
