Senior Practitioner based in the Protection and Family Support Groupá We are looking for someone experienced and proficient in assessments/report writing and direct interventions with clients and most specifically with an interest in Youth Justice. Experience in YJ whilstábeneficial is not essential as it will be a relatively small part of the job.
A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements of this post.Job Details
To provide and promote a high standard of practice within Children's Wellbeing and in multi-agency settings, through the provision of a service to vulnerable children, young people and their families/carers, in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures.

Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC registration.
Post qualifying award in Child Protection or post qualifying award in Practice Teaching or post qualifying award in Mental Health.
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
