We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Service Manager who enjoys their job and can make a real difference to our team.

The Role

The Service Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of our Good Neighbours and Home from Hospital service.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated volunteers to deliver our valuable service. This role’s specific tasks include the effective co-ordination, promotion and delivery of our Good Neighbours and Home from Hospital services in Ayrshire and Renfrewshire, maintaining accurate records to provide statistical information, assisting in the recruitment, induction, training and support of volunteers, as well as the promotion and marketing of the service to both clients and referrers. The role will include responsibility for the day to day management of the service including monitoring, evaluating and continually improving the service.

With the support from the Operations Manager you will ensure the effective delivery and coordination of the service alongside the recruitment, development and retention of our volunteers who are vital for the service’s success.

About You

Applicants should possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team. You will be confident at liaising with external stakeholders and building new networks. You should have experience of managing people and improving performance.

If you are interested in applying for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in service user or volunteer engagement and an ability to communicate with and influence people. You will be computer literate.

The successful candidate must have a valid driving licence and be a car owner

This is a full-time fixed term contract position working 35 hours 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) with the contract ending on 31st March, 2017.
