Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprises Ltd, a subsidiary of Shettleston Housing Association, is a community business providing various housing related services to its parent Association, other social landlords and external private clients. Upkeep services include maintenance works, estate caretaking, landscape maintenance and recycling services. It currently has 68 staff.
Upkeep wishes to recruit an Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the business. The Operations Manager will be an experienced professional with a background in, and/or understanding of, repairs and maintenance and estate caretaking in social housing. In addition the Operations Manager will be expected to contribute to the strategic development of the organisation, in collaboration with senior staff within the parent Association.
The Operations Manager will also be expected to develop and identify new business opportunities for Upkeep and implement service improvements or efficiencies as required. The Operations Manager will act as direct line manager for the management team within Upkeep, have overall responsibility for the entire staff team and will report to the Board on all aspects of his/her work.
