Milne Craig is an established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants, with a progressive outlook. We are located in Paisley with good transport links to Glasgow and the West of Scotland, where the majority of our clients are located. We are currently seeking a bookkeeper to join our accounts and business services department.

The main duties will include:

Providing bookkeeping services to a variety of clients
Assist with Financial Accounts preparation
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting senior accountants with analysis work.

Required skills:

Interest in the professional services sector, preferably with practical experience within a professional services firm.
Strong mathematical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to deliver work on a timely basis.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients and manage multiple stakeholders.
Good teamwork skills, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude.
Problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity in business operations
Asks questions and is able to incorporate new areas of learning in their daily job
A personable approach and potential for establishing good client relations.
Good working knowledge of Cloud Accounting products
Experience with Sage 50
