Sub-sea, ROV & Offshore Jobs
Offshore jobs, including sub-sea positions and careers working with remotely operated vehicles, require jobseekers who are willing to push the boundaries of dedication. In addition to living away from home for sustained periods, workers on production platforms and other rigs work long hours in sometimes challenging conditions.
The positives, however, are a hugely rewarding experience, a competitive salary and the development of many useful skills. The offshore industry also offers a huge variety of work to jobseekers, with positions ranging from divers and maintenance workers to managers and engineers.
A degree from a university course such as Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Geology can prove highly useful, but isn't always necessary when working in oil & gas. However, in almost all cases, a candidate will be expected to have completed an offshore survival course, which can often cost around £800.
Although there's no substitute for work experience, it's not always required, and there are often a range of relevant apprenticeships available.
If you believe you have the dedication, work ethic and skillset to work in an offshore job, upload your CV & apply online today with s1jobs.
