Three cheers for us
More that 10,000 votes were cast by members of the public, with the most-popular websites in each category making a shortlist of five finalists. Sites were judged on volume of vacancies and visitors, ease of use, facilities for job seekers and prominence in their target market.
Mark Smith, s1 Managing Director, said: "We're thrilled to once again be named the UK's best recruitment site with a regional focus, and delighted that so many people took the time to vote for us. Last month was our busiest ever with more than 250,000 jobseekers choosing to use s1jobs, so to now win the award three times in a row is the icing on the cake.
"We started this business with the view that Scotland should have access to recruitment services at least as good as those available anywhere else in the world, and the best way to thank all those who voted for us is to make sure we keep doing just that."
s1jobs launched in January 2001 and immediately became the market leading recruitment website in Scotland. It now attracts an average of 16,000 job seekers every day, generating a job application every 15 seconds. More than 600 employers recruit through the site, including leading businesses such as Dell, RBS and Scottish Power.
