One in five of the Scottish working population now use s1jobs, according to the latest independent traffic audit.
Scotland’s leading recruitment platform now attracts more than half a million unique users a month – three times as many as the nearest Scottish job site.
As verified by ABCe, s1jobs attracted 502,267 unique users in January – a 26% increase compared with the site’s audit in May last year.
s1 Managing Director Mark Smith said: “Once again, our continued investment in the s1jobs product and brand has seen us extend our lead in Scotland. To put the figure into context, it’s the equivalent of more than a fifth of the Scottish working population using s1jobs in a single month. If you were to extrapolate that across the UK, s1jobs would be the nation’s most popular recruitment site by far.”
The audit is part of the latest National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS), which provides employers and agencies with detailed information on the performance of individual jobsites in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Mark believes it’s time the industry started providing more transparency in the marketplace and sees NORAS as the perfect vehicle to do so.
He said: “It’s disappointing that some jobsites have chosen not to participate in NORAS or release any kind of audited figures. It means recruiters can’t get a clear picture of the best sites for them.”
“In the final analysis you really have to question the motives of any media outlet that refuses to open itself up to independent scrutiny. Even using unaudited figures, s1jobs delivers an audience more than three times as large as its nearest competitor.”
s1jobs launched in January 2001 and immediately became the leading recruitment website in Scotland. More than 2,000 businesses – including Scotland’s top five PLCs – recruit through the site.
