th UK shop creates 15 jobs in the city centre ~Britain’s favourite sandwich seller, Pret A Manger, is opening its second shop in Aberdeen on Friday 11th May. Located on the bustling Union Street, the new shop has created 15 new jobs for the city and will be the 240th Pret shop in the UK, the eighth in Scotland.
To celebrate the new shop opening, Pret will be rolling out some exciting promotions that should tickle the fancy of customers old and new. The Aberdeen community will be treated to goodie bags with yummy treats and money off vouchers, and much more over the coming months.
The new Union Street shop will be offering its loyal Aberdeen customers the same mouth-watering menus that they have come to know and love at its sister shop in the Bon Accord Shopping Centre. What’s more, all of Pret’s wraps, salads and sandwiches are lovingly prepared throughout the day in the shop’s individual kitchen. They use good, honest, natural ingredients, which are delivered early every morning. The fresher, the better (for Goodness sake).
Any unsold food from the new Aberdeen shop will be given to a local charity. Every year Pret donates over 2.4 million products to charities for the homeless across the UK.
Dave Barnes, Manager at the Aberdeen Union street shop, commented:
"We are delighted to be opening the doors of our second shop in Aberdeen, a mere four months after our opening in the Bon Accord Shopping Centre.
"The public feedback from the first shop opening in Aberdeen was incredibly positive so we knew we had to open a second one as soon as we could. It is undoubtedly going to be ‘the place’ for office workers and locals alike. We are sure customers will love coming to our shop to try our mouth-watering menu and I would be delighted to hear from local people with any comments or recommendations."
Team Member Monika Sramova says:
"It’s fantastic that Pret has opened a new shop in Aberdeen and I’m personally delighted to be providing the sort of quality handmade, natural food that has been such a success across the UK."
