Better Off Freelance?
Over the past few years more and more candidates in the Scottish Construction Industry have taken the option of working on a freelance rather than a permanent basis.
There are 2 main factors behind this trend. Firstly, more and more candidates are becoming increasingly interested in a better work/lifestyle balance. Working freelance allows you to take holidays when you want and to find the job closest to your home rather then being forced to travel to stay in a permanent position. Secondly, more candidates are taking advantage of the supply/demand curve being in their favour and choosing to work freelance for financial gain, i.e higher hourly rates and being paid for every hour you work.
