Kalyx is a business with a social purpose, a private limited company owned by Sodexo, one of the worlds largest support service companies.
Kalyx operates 3 prisons in England;
HMP Forest Bank, Manchester, which accommodates up 1139 male prisoners, HMP Bronzefield, Middlesex, which accommodates 465 females prisoners & HMP Peterborough, the UK’s first mixed gender prison, housing 624 men and 384 women in separate accommodation.
In addition Kalyx runs a 500 place immigration removal centre in Harmondsworth, near Heathrow under a contract with the Border & Immigration Agency.
