From your very first day with RESPONSE, you’ll be made welcome as a valued member of our team, and our initial training programme has been developed with your needs very much in mind. For those of you who join as customer advisors, your initial training will focus on customer interaction skills, IT systems and client-specific product knowledge. And once you complete your training, you will join one of our graduation bays, where you will continue to receive every support you need to ease you into the live contact centre environment.
All new employees receive a personalised ‘lifetime learning manual’ in which to store notes from all the coaching sessions and training courses undertaken during your time with the company. This provides you with an excellent reference resource to help you in your day-to-day employment, and acts as evidence of your skills when applying for promotion or another post within the organisation.
There will be many more opportunities to develop your skills throughout your employment. Each year, we publish a Learning and Development Annual Promise which sets out every training and development opportunity – including master classes, upskilling workshops, rapid fire refresher sessions and quarterly seminars. You can even ‘learn while you earn’ by registering for on-the-job training and assessment leading to a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ).
To help you progress your career, all employees have the opportunity to apply to take part in our Leadership Development Programme. There is also flexibility to widen your experience and gain new skills by moving between client accounts and/or to other business areas like IT, Human Resources, Planning, Administration, Finance or Marketing.
