Short overnight breaks for children and young people
An inclusive outreach service
A psychological assessment service
The aim of the service is to address behaviours which significantly challenge the family and the other services.
We also create opportunities for children and young people to explore new horizons and to be supported in reaching their full potential.
Due to an expansion of the service we will now be providing the following services:-
Residential Care and Care at Home services providing support with a range of tasks in families’ homes.
Children’s Services Practitioner
£18,612 to £22,131 pa pro rata | Part-time, choice of 4 hours OR 10 hours per week

Part of a dynamic team
Be responsible for the direct care of the children and young people
Your working pattern will be flexible as you will be employed to backfill holidays, sickness and training. This could involve day or night work (i.e. scheduled working). The minimum notice of rota arrangements being one month, other than by mutual agreement.
You may be expected to work across all aspects of the service, which is Lothian wide.
To succeed you’ll need;
You will have to comply with the Scottish Social Services Council qualification requirements for working in a residential setting.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the support needs of the children, young people and their families.
And while you’re taking action for children, we’ll be taking action to make sure you’re fulfilled, with ongoing support and training opportunities.
