186589 Clinical Nurse Manager (Interim)

The Clinical Nurse Manager has responsibility for providing clinical, and professional leadership for community mental health, substance misuse and learning disability nursing services and is accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patient, ensuring safe, effective, person- centred care.

The Clinical Nurse Manager has delegated [from the Head of Nursing] responsibility for clinical and staff governance issues for their designated nursing and midwifery teams within community mental health, substance misuse and learning disability.  This includes participating and leading in the development of evidence informed services in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders to meet the needs of service users.

The post holder will work closely with the Primary Care Mental Health Clinical Nurse Manager and other Senior Operational Managers to develop and support the delivery of integrated community nursing teams

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
