Class 2 HGV Driver

· Collecting and transporting live cattle from Dumfries and Galloway and the surrounding areas to the abattoir.

· Ensure safe transportation of the cattle to the abattoir.

· Dealing with customers to arrange the collection of the cattle.

· Liasing with the abattoir to ensure deadlines are met.

· Completion of work documentation in line with vet and company standards.

· Maintaining good standards of housekeeping in the vehicle.

· Carrying out daily vehicle checks.

· Full driving licence- LGV Category C (Essential)

· Local knowledge of area

· Pleasant manner

· Knowledge of vehicle operations

· Driver CPC
