Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is 30/37 hours over 7 days. 

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

Applications from 2024 Newly Qualified Nurse/Midwife, will not be considered for this post.  

There are two location bases for these posts- 30 hours Vale Centre for Health G83 0UE & 37 hours Clydebank Health Centre G81 1BS.

We are seeking caring, enthusiastic and motivated staff nurses to join our District Nursing teams across West Dunbartonshire.

The District Nursing Service delivers skilled nursing interventions which encompass a broad spectrum of nursing skills order to provide a service which places the person and those who are important to them at the centre of the care they provide.

The post holder will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth theoretical and clinical knowledge, and will be committed to continuous professional development.

Applicants should be Registered Nurses (Adult Nursing).

Previous community experience within District Nursing is desirable but not essential- we are keen to recruit those with a passion for community nursing and seeking the job satisfaction that working as part of a wider team of staff caring for someone in their own home/ homely setting brings.
