Full Job Description

The Duty Manager is responsible to ensure the smooth running of Taymouth Marina on a day to day rota basis which includes evenings and weekends. Answerable directly to the General & Operations Managers, shift work will involve working 5 days over 7.

Job Brief

As Duty Manager, you will work across all areas of the resort supporting and motivating the Team, and focusing on providing the highest level of standards and services to all guests. You will be present on the floor, taking an active role in the day to day operations of the Resort, be proactive in planning ahead. Our ideal candidate will be energetic, self-drive, have excellent attention to detail and enthusiastic about working within a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, oversee, and manage smooth daily operations at Taymouth Marina.

  • Liaise with all departments to maintain open lines of communication across the board

  • Oversee staff duties within each department and ensure efficient working practices

  • Responsible for the smooth running of day to day operations

  • Prepare the schedule in cooperation with your the General Manager and Operations Manager

  • Assist in training new hires

  • Help in focusing on a positive environment for employees and guests

  • Ensure that guest requests are executed correctly

  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of all spaces are maintained

  • Perform daily operational tasks in a timely manner

    Positive attitude, always going above and beyond for guests

  • Attention to detail

  • Hands on approach and passion for customer service

  • Proactive in foreseeing and resolving potential issues

  • Have experience using Microsoft office & EPOS Now management systems

  • Have experience in an assistant management or similar management role

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred

  • Customer service experience

  • Knowledge of cash management procedures

  • Team management skills

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Must be available to work shifts including evenings and weekends

  • Valid, full European / UK driver's license
