Full Job Description

As a Senior Proposal Coordinator or Bid Manager you will drive the prequalification and tender submissions process. You will work across our other studios and teams to capture knowledge for bids. You will be part of the bidding team, responsible for managing the preparation, development and delivery of proposals – covering all opportunity stages.

Day-to-day task and expectations

Working alongside Bid/Proposal Managers on larger opportunities, and working independently on smaller opportunities and PQQs, you will manage proposals for prospective and existing clients.


Key responsibilities:

  • ·            Research opportunities (monitoring procurement portals)
  • ·            Implement the company proposal process
  • ·            Agree and promote a clear proposal plan to drive the delivery of each submission (inc activities, programme, deliverables etc)
  • ·            Contribute to milestone reviews in proposal development to maintain momentum
  • ·            Develop persuasive bid content to meet client needs
  • ·            Collaborate with relevant colleagues to generate value added content
  • ·            Proof reading of submission content
  • ·            Preparation of presentations and capability documents
  • ·            Contribute to the knowledge library (such as CVs, case studies, boiler plate text) and undertake periodic reviews to ensure all content is up to date and applicable
  • ·            Research and gather information for the inclusion within submissions
  • ·            Assist with marketing tasks e.g. news stories, internal comms, website updates and event preparation
  • ·            Travel across the practice
  • ·            Ad-hoc admin assistance

 

Experience/Qualifications Required:

·            3 or more years experience in a proposal role

·            Understanding of public and /or private sector procurement processes (inc frameworks, open competition tenders, design and build etc)

·            Proficiency in using InDesign and Office 365 suite

·            Association of Proposal Management Professional Membership and Qualification (desirable)

·            Wider prospect and proposal training - eg Shipley etc (desirable)

·            An understanding of the construction or engineering industry (desirable)
