Full Job Description

Working closely with innovative research companies from pharma and biotech to academic organisations from across the globe, you'll apply and develop your synthetic and medicinal chemistry skills at the cutting edge of scientific research to help our customers discover innovative medicines.

You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team of talented scientists. Designing, planning, and executing complex synthetic routes for customer drug discovery projects. All projects are varied, and you'll collaborate and help solve challenging problems with our customers, from hit identification through to preclinical and clinical candidates across all biological target classes and major therapeutic indications.

Working within smaller integrated teams you'll have a higher level of involvement in customer projects and opportunities to meet and collaborate with the customer.

We have multiple opportunities available and welcome applications from experienced organic chemists at various levels, PhD qualified scientists and seasoned Drug Hunters.As a passionate and driven scientist, you should have:

  • A PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry, or a BSc/MSc with significant drug discovery experience within a CRO, not-for-profit, or pharma-based environment.

  • Expertise in the design and preparation of drug-like molecules using all appropriate modern methods for organic synthesis, analysis, and purification.

  • The ability to run spectroscopic and chromatographic methods such as LC-MS and NMR to demonstrate purity and identity of samples
