The School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior School Classroom Assistant from August 2024 to join our Junior School team. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8.00am-3.15pm each day, during term time only.

The successful candidate will work closely with the two Class Teachers at the stage assigned and report to the Deputy Head Teacher of the Junior School.

The overall purpose of the role is to assist the Classroom Teachers, pupils and wider School with the delivery of high quality education, care and welfare, through the provision of a wide range of professional and practical support activities in the areas of support for learning, material preparation, administration and pupil supervision. Classroom Assistants are responsible for supervising the children in our playgrounds and have an important pastoral role in this capacity, taking cognisance of our School values.

• Preparation and Display

• Pupil supervision

• Support for wider School activities, e.g. events such as the annual Swimming Gala

• Support for medical and personal care
