People now believe they can get things done faster and have a better work\/life balance with a 3-day weekend. Here are some of the benefits and drawbacks of a 4-day work week to an employer and employee.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Advantages of a 4-day work week to an employer<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Working 4 days a week instead of 5 will improve employees&#8217; morale in the workplace. They might feel more motivated to work when they know they\u2019re only there for 4 days. A 4-day work week may also increase productivity. People might be more productive when they know they must get tasks done over 4 days rather than 5. Employees may also be more fulfilled outside of work and therefore more focused and ready to work when they\u2019re there. More and more people are opting for jobs with more attractive work\/life balance traits. Things like flexible working hours and good benefits help a company attract and retain good, quality employees.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Advantages of a 4-day work week to an employee <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>An employee doing a 4-day work week will overall, feel happier. Employees would hopefully gain a better work\/life balance and have more time for friends, family, and personal activities. Employees may also have fewer health issues due to less stress. Also, less burnout and more time to relax and unwind from work.
