Join Hayton Coulthard Transport – A Legacy of Excellence

About Us: Established in 1916, Hayton Coulthard Transport Limited (HCT) is one of Scotland's oldest and most respected transport companies. The company was founded by Peter Coulthard, who named it after his eldest son, Hayton. Starting with a motorbike and sidecar delivering newspapers around Galloway, Peter soon purchased a small lorry to collect milk cans from local farms for a dairy in Kirkcudbright.

Our History: In the 1940s, the business expanded under the management of Peter's brother, Jimmy Coulthard, who established Dunmhor Transport to safeguard against the loss of lorries during the Second World War. After Jimmy's passing in 1959, his son Duncan took over the business at the age of fourteen. Duncan continued to grow the company, and by 1967, HCT had evolved into haulage and warehousing. Today, HCT boasts a large, modern fleet of trucks and trailers, continually adapting and innovating to meet our customers' evolving needs.
