MORRISONS ACADEMY

Profile

Morrison's Academy is a vibrant independent day school with a big personality. Located in the heart of Scotland, we provide quality education from nursery to secondary. We are small enough to know all the children as individuals, yet large enough to offer a breadth of choice and opportunities. Our team of dedicated professionals deliver high quality education in innovative and creative ways to include all learners. Consequently, teachers and pupils hold each other in high regard. Our long tradition of academic success for boys and girls aged 3 - 18 continues today with a contemporary Scottish Curriculum and an educational ethos that blends outdoor and experiential learning, digital technology and rich classroom environments to create a truly personalised education for each and every child. Our staff welcome children from the age of 3 to our beautiful, purpose-built Nursery where our children are encouraged to flourish. This is the start of a journey preparing children for the best possible future. We believe that every day at Nursery should be an enjoyable and stimulating experience through active learning and play. The Primary School is where we begin to unlock the potential of the children. In an age of constant change, our mission is to inspire in the children a sense of wonder of this world. We strive to develop enquiring minds, tap into the children’s talents and provide them with a solid foundation on which to build for the years ahead. Our modern curriculum encourages pupils to achieve their academic potential in all their chosen subjects. During Secondary School our pupils become confident, capable learners, developing a range of skills, which, together with academic success, pave the way for university entry. Beyond the classroom at Morrison’s Academy there are a wealth of opportunities for our pupils to expand and broaden their horizons through our co-curricular programme. Whether they are interested in sport, debating, arts and drama, music, technology or outdoor pursuits we have something to inspire, challenge and enrich every pupil’s learning and educational experience. The Good Schools Guide said the following after their latest visit: "This is a wee gem of a Scottish School...big enough to turn out some decent team sport and small enough for the Head to put a name to every face".
