Introduction to the Rangers Charity Foundation

At Rangers we’re passionate about football, but we’re also passionate about what the Club stands for off the pitch. The work of the Rangers Charity Foundation embodies the strong charitable values of the Rangers Family and a spirit that everyone connected with the Club can feel proud of.

The Foundation has an ambitious vision and an ever-growing impact which is transforming thousands of lives for the better both in the local community and further afield, all made possible thanks to our close relationship with fans and our many funding partners. We aim to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family, providing financial support through key charity partnerships, offering in-kind support via a wide range of initiatives and delivering a comprehensive range of transformational community programmes within the local area and further afield.

Since its creation in 2002, the Rangers Charity Foundation has donated over £6.7 million in cash and in-kind support to worthwhile causes.

This season we have a number of key charity partnerships in place. In Glasgow, we are supporting Glasgow City Mission & Simon Community Scotland via funds raised from our Big Ibrox Sleep Out events and also Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Our continuing support for those affected by homelessness in our city follows the tremendous success of our Big Sleep Out events. Our National Partner changes each season and in 2024/25 we were working closely with SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health). We are proud to support serving personnel and veterans through our special Armed Forces Partnership and, along with the Club, are proud to have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant.

In the community, we are working with over 8,000 people this season through a range of over 20 programmes which aim to transform people’s lives for the better. We have recently taken over the Ibrox Community Complex, which delivers inspiring education programmes to Primary and Secondary schools in Glasgow and hosts some of our flagship health and wellbeing programmes, such as Team Talk and Football Fans In Training. Our ability to help people take positive steps towards or even securing employment continues to be an aspect of our activity and we are an SQA Approved Centre and have delivered awards to well over 1,000 candidates. As well as welcoming people to Ibrox, our community coaches are focused each day on delivering programmes such Joy of Moving, Towards Better Futures and our SQA Programme of Wider Achievement.

Being a good neighbour is important to us, and the Rangers Charity Foundation is investing in more and more opportunities for people in the local community to benefit from, including Walking Football, Football Memories, Saturday Night Youth Hub and contributing funds for the benefit of local groups and organisations.

The Foundation also makes the dreams of hundreds of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and adults come true by arranging for them to meet the players and attend matches and tours at Ibrox and to visit the Rangers Training Centre for our fantastic ‘Dream Day’ with the team.

We respond to over 3,000 requests annually from people up and down the country who are raising funds for their own favourite charities and worthwhile causes and aim to be as generous as possible by donating hundreds of prizes, including signed items, Stadium tours and match tickets.

The impact of the Foundation’s work over the years has been significant and this has only been achieved through the terrific backing we receive from the life blood of the Club – our supporters.
