St Aloysius College

Profile
Founded in 1859, St Aloysius' College is situated right at the heart of Glasgow's vibrant city centre. St Aloysius' College is Scotland's only Jesuit Private School, providing a style of Catholic education for boys and girls aged 3 to 18 which places formation of the whole person at the centre of all learning. As soon as a child slips on the iconic Green Blazer, he or she becomes part of an educational tradition which dates back 500 years. As a Jesuit school, development of the whole person is at the centre of all that we do. Our aspirations for your children are focused on the five principal concepts of Jesuit education. These form the mission for staff at the College, whilst allowing pupils to understand what is expected of them when mapping their journey in the Green Blazer. The school's motto is "Ad majora natus sum"(I was born for greater things) and to this we thrive. We are home to over 200 staff and 1000 pupils split between three levels of education- Kindergarten, Junior School, and Senior School. We recruit talent for a wide range of positions across our College from Manual and Ancillary Staff to Administration and Teaching Staff. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates are required to become members of the PVG scheme. The College is committed to providing equal treatment and equal opportunities throughout employment including recruitment, training, promotion and all other aspects of employment. The College aims to provide a workplace which is free of discrimination where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
