This is an exciting opportunity to join the EA's Chief Regulator's Group as a Regulatory Resilience Senior Advisor and be part of a friendly dispersed team helping to ensure our regulation is proportionate, accountable, consistent, transparent, and targeted.
As the Regulatory Resilience Senior Advisor, you will lead and support work to set the standards for our compliance work, to provide the appropriate guidance to our regulatory teams and to support a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role you will:
- Work in partnership with teams in across the EA, working as one team to deliver for the whole of regulation.
- Use systems thinking to implement change that is suited to the whole regulatory cycle.
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders, including government, regulated sectors and other regulators.
- Work in an agile way using a range of approaches to get the best outcome.
The role will also be about developing and delivering a new assurance framework for regulation within the EA, interfacing seamlessly with corporate and operational assurance mechanisms.
The team
You'll join our dispersed Regulatory Resilience team, part of the Chief Regulator Group within the EA's Environment and Business Directorate (E&B). We lead on delivering continuous improvements for regulation. We work with a wide range of EA teams across the country.

Essential requirements. In your capability-based answers please demonstrate your:
-ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues in their work.
-regulatory experience and/or experience in developing assurance frameworks
-excellent communication skills, using these to develop and enhance relationships with internal and external customers and partners
-experience of creating, and delivering through, partnerships and collaborative environments.
-ability to bring others on the journey of continuous improvement with you, whilst influencing and navigating challenging conversations
-ability to work at pace, managing competing priorities
-ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
Desirable requirements:
-experience of developing assurance frameworks and processes
-frontline regulatory experience
-project and programme management
