The Communities & Neighbourhoods Service is committed to working with communities to improve life chances for people of all ages through learning, personal development and active citizenship programmes. As an ABE & ESOL Co-ordinator, you will lead a team of adult literacies and ESOL tutors, to ensure that adult learners, families and young people have opportunities to develop their skills, achieve qualifications and connect with wider community provision. You will oversee learning programmes, support the engagement of learners, and work closely with local partners to address local adult learning needs and demands.     Experience of leading a team.
  • Awareness and knowledge of the policies and frameworks of ESOL in Scotland and, in particular, adult literacies. Knowledge and experience of quality assurance processes for accredited learning. Experience of planning and evaluating learning provision using relevant CLD frameworks. Experience of monitoring financial budgets including an understanding of the requirements of external funding sources. Good time management, organisational and communication skills. Flexible and adaptable in approach with experience of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with partners and colleagues. Able to travel between venues and work peripatetically within local communities. Committed to the ethos of adult literacies and ESOL to address the aims of the Plan 4 Fife.
