Full Job Description
SRUC is seeking an experienced administrator to be a member of a flexible Faculty Office administration team that collectively delivers customer-focused and efficient student - and research - facing administrative services, as delegated to each post-holder by the Head of Faculty Administration, in areas which may include but are not limited to:
- Class timetabling
- Examination timetabling
- Student enrolment and registration
- Data entry
- Attendance registers
- Receipt and return of course work
- Faculty finance-related functions
- Faculty quality systems
- Graduation and prize-giving
- Student admissions process
- Student induction
- Student discipline, formal complaints and student appeals
- Schools delivery
- Open and Applicant days, and other events
- Research activity
- Development and delivery of grant applications
- Links with industry bodies and associations
- Allocation of rooms and other resources
- Record keeping (e.g. student records, and research group outputs and activities)
- Preparation for/facilitation of audits. This role is crucial in ensuring effective and efficient systems, processes, and procedures within SRUC's academic records, admissions, and student fees/funding functions.
To be considered for this role you should have demonstrable experience of working within a varied administrative role. Applicants should have a good standard of education, good communication skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of IT software (particularly Microsoft Office and databases).
