Full Job Description

Hollybank is a 15 bedded AMH recovery unit, delivering compassionate holistic care for patients with enduring mental health issues and complex needs, We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Access and Engagement Worker to join our small friendly team based in Hollybank.

As one of the team, you will ensure that you offer responsive, evidence based and recovery focused care to the patients.

Main duties of the job

This is a role where you can really make a difference working to reduce the amount of time our patients need to spend in hospital and helping them to work towards recovery and back into their own homes.

As part of the role, the candidate will deliver a range of recovery focused social and recreational activities during weekday and the occasional Saturday.

Provided activities should be accessible and meaningful to service users in order to help individuals exercise choice in how to structure their time, provide sense of enjoyment and satisfaction and offer the opportunity to take part in current interests or develop new ones and therefore contribute to their own recovery, Further information about the Trust and this role can be found on the Job Description and Person Specification document attached.

The successful post holder will need excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with staff, service users and all stake holders.

The ability to prioritise changing work demands is essential., Essential

  • Literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Ability to attend and participate in all statutory training events.

    The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.

    Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
