Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the Renewables Financial Control team based in Perth/Glasgow. The role will be focused around supporting the Finance Manager in providing timely and effective support to the Renewables Finance team. You will be responsible for the processing of month end in timely manner, assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities, preparing detailed variance analysis on a monthly basis and balance sheet control account reconciliations.

This is a varied role with responsibilities including:

Supporting the month end reporting process through preparation of journals and providing insightful analysis of variances against budget

Maintaining Balance Sheet Control Account reconciliations along with highlighting and investigating material variances;

Supporting the year end statutory reporting cycle and liaising with both internal and external auditors;

Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting;

To be successful you will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, including profit and loss and balance sheet accounts, coupled with the ability to work across multiple areas to ensure all stakeholder needs are met.

Fully or Part qualified accountant with strong knowledge of general accounting practices,

- Experience of analysing and evaluating financial information

- Ability to make a positive impact in a cross-functional environment

- Experience of presenting financial information to operational and financial colleagues.

- Ability to problem solve and have a proactive attitude to completing work.

Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
