Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Having worked with this client previously when filling this role, I am delighted to be assisting again as the current encumbent prepares to head off on Maternity Leave, for a period of likely 9-12 months!

Reporting into the BU Controller, you will be in charge of the region's operational accounting and finance tasks, such as monthly reporting, statutory reporting (tax and audit), and forecasting and budgetary assistance for the regional ops team.

Responsibilities:

• Financial statements with variance analysis and insightful commentary provided on a monthly or quarterly basis.

• Keep up a thorough set of internal controls to guarantee adherence to the requirements set out by the business

• Examine and keep up with inventory ledgers

• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are routinely performed in accordance with company guidelines.

• Prepare and report monthly VAT returns while guaranteeing compliance with all fiscal and legislative obligations in the region

• Create and keep up with budgeting and forecasting documentation.
