Accounts Assistant

P&L Recruitment are working exclusively with a rapidly expanding organisation based in Finnieston, Glasgow to recruit a full-time permanent Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced good all-rounder to join a small friendly team and have the autonomy to make the role "their own". This is an office-based role within a collaborative team culture. The hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on a Friday. Candidates who are looking to work 4 days, will also be considered.

The main duties:

• Maintaining detailed and accurate financial records with clear audit trail
• Taking accounts to trial balance
• Purchase ledger duties
• Sales ledger duties
• Bank reconciliations
• Monitoring cashflow
• Providing financial reports to deadline
• Processing a small monthly payroll (10 staff)
• Maintaining ISO 9001 & IIP standards
• Some general administrative duties

The main requirements:

• Previous accounts experience (at least 3 years)
• Sage 50 experience is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Extremely proactive and driven
• Accurate and thorough, with good attention to detail
• Organised with ability to multi-task
• Flexible and able to positively respond to change

The salary is between 35K and 40K depending on experience.
