A well-established and growing independent accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounts and Business Advisory Manager to join its leadership team. Working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial clients and established organisations, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while supporting the continued growth of the practice.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to take on a broad client-facing role with genuine scope to influence, develop people and contribute to the future direction of the business.

Your new role
As an Accounts and Business Advisory Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring work is delivered to a high technical standard while building strong and lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of businesses across a range of sectors
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts, management information and tax compliance work
  • Reviewing assignments completed by senior and junior team members and providing constructive feedback
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, responding to technical and commercial queries
  • Supporting clients with business, financial and operational matters as a trusted adviser
  • Attending and leading client meetings where appropriate
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing members of the team to support their professional growth
  • Managing workflow, budgets and deadlines across multiple assignments
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client service offerings and strengthen commercial relationships
  • Contributing to business development activities and supporting the continued growth of the practice
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across service lines to deliver a seamless client experience



What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

  • Be ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified
  • Have significant experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation, financial reporting and taxation
  • Have previous experience managing client relationships and reviewing the work of others
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be confident dealing directly with business owners and senior stakeholders
  • Show strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Be capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Be committed to delivering an exceptional level of client service
