Requirements SVQ Level 3 in a Sport or physical activity related field and/or work-related experience.
Responsibilities As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport Section, you will contribute to the section's social objectives by developing programmes and activities with schools within the Active Schools services. You will develop and introduce a range of programmes/interventions, events and festivals and identify opportunities to improve the services and increase lifelong participation for Dundee children.
The Individual You will have practical experience in sports coaching and organising participation programmes, events and festivals is essential. In addition you will have experience of supporting coaches or volunteers and marketing and promoting activities / programmes. You should also have the ability to use a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Word. In addition, you will have good communication skills, both verbal and written, good presentation and people skills, have the ability to organise, be adaptable, diplomatic and approachable. You must be willing to work flexible hours including weekend work where required and be willing to undertake personal development. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure
& Culture Dundee.
