The working week will be Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm

Broxburn Academy is a six-year comprehensive school serving the areas of Broxburn, Uphall, Uphall Station, Pumpherston and Dechmont. We work closely with our cluster primaries which include Broxburn P.S, Kirkhill P.S, Uphall P.S, Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community P.S to ensure a consistent and holistic approach. Our current school roll is 766.
Broxburn Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Administrative Officer to join the School Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative and passionate person to work with a busy office environment. You will support the Area Business Support Manager to ensure that the school operates in a efficient and efficient manner.
The skills and knowledge you must have:-
- Experience of delivering a diverse, high quality administrative support function in a busy environment
- Experience in either – Finance, HR, SQA or Team Management.
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Ability to work well in a pressurised environment
- Highly IT literate and have sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
