Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Adult Social Work and Social Care Leadership Team for an Adult Social Care Administrator. The team has professional responsibility for areas including social work, registered services, quality assurance, unpaid carers and self directed support. The Adult Social Care Administrator is a core element of the team to support with the smooth running of our service.

This post requires a person with previous experience in an administration setting that has skills in report writing and minute taking. The postholder must have expert knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, have strong communication skills and be able to work with a level of autonomy.

We are a busy team that work all around Highland, the base for this post will be in Inverness but there may be a need to travel at times.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
