Full Job Description
Job purpose: Williams Windows & Doors is looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice UPVC Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young person looking to start a career in the window and door industry.
No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. You will work alongside experienced fabricators and learn how to manufacture high-quality UPVC windows and doors while completing an apprenticeship programme.
What will I learn? As an Apprentice UPVC Fabricator, you will learn to:
- Manufacture UPVC windows and doors to company specifications.
- Measure and prepare materials for production.
- Operate machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Fit hardware including hinges, handles, locks and other components.
- Glaze and assemble finished products.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets.
