Post Title: Apprentice Mechanic
Location: Inverness
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term - 4 Years
Salary: Percentage of appropriate trade salary £34,458
Year 1 £26,012 per annum
Year 2 80% of trade rate £27,567
Year 3 85% of trade rate £29,290
Year 4 90% of trade rate £31,012

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose - Repair and maintenance of the Council’s Fleet of vehicles and plant under guidance, instruction, and training in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Requirements

No experience is required but some knowledge and experience of mechanical repair
would be an advantage.

Minimum Grade 3 Pass in Standard Grade English, Mathematics and either a Science or Craft based study
