GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Panel Beater on behalf of an independent garage. This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in the automotive industry while earning a wage and gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
What You'll Do
As a Vehicle Body Repair apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced technicians and learn how to:
Repair and replace vehicle body panels
Carry out vehicle body alignment repairs
Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely
Perform MIG/MAG welding and brazing techniques
Follow health and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and professional workshop environment
No two days are the same, and you'll gain valuable hands-on experience working on a range of vehicles.
What will I learn? You'll complete a Modern Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Repair (SCQF Level 6) through GTG Training. Training is delivered through block release at the GTG Training Centre, combined with practical workplace learning and regular assessments.
What qualifications or qualities are required? Qualifications:
National 4 or above in English, Maths, and a Science or Technical subject (or expected to achieve these qualifications)
Personal Qualities:
Enthusiastic and keen to learn
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
