Full Job Description
Job purpose: Our client, a well established global logistics company based in Glasgow, are looking to recruit an Apprentice Pricing Executive to support the day to day processes of a busy sales department. This role will cover a number of different areas of support, with administration processes at the core of the duties involved. Task expected to be undertaken are, but not limited to:
- Receiving Quote Requests
- Updating data in company system Multifreight
- Pricing Quotes For Clients
- Analysing Shipping Lane Costs
- Tracking Customer Quote Status
- Updating internal spreadsheets
- Communicating with colleagues
- Working with other departments
What will I learn? As part of your development within this role you will learn how to use complex logistics and shipping systems, how to accurately record and update pricing information, processes for providing quotes and completing company documentation. You will also be working towards an apprenticeship in Business Administration at SCQF Level 6.
What qualifications or qualities are required? Having both English and Maths at National 5 or above is preferred for this role. Strong IT skills are essential to be able to complete tasks and learn processes quickly. Good attention to detail is imperative as all details recorded on systems must be accurate. Overall this role will suit someone who is enthusiastic to learn and develop as the company will offer great progression opportunities.
