Apprentice Window Fitter

Job purpose: Williams Windows & Doors are looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Window Fitter to join our installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young person to start a rewarding career in the window and door industry while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

No previous experience is required. Full training will be provided by experienced fitters, allowing you to develop the skills needed to install windows and doors safely and professionally.

What will I learn? As an Apprentice Window Fitter, you will learn to:

• Assist with the installation of UPVC windows, doors and glazed units.

• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment safely.

• Measure openings and prepare work areas.

• Remove existing windows and doors where required.

• Assist with fitting frames, glass, trims and finishing components.

• Learn to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Ensure installations meet company quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment on customer premises.

• Follow all health and safety procedures.

• Provide excellent customer service while working in customers' homes and businesses.

What qualifications or qualities are required? We are looking for someone who:

• Is aged 18 to 21 years old.

• Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work.

• Can work well as part of a team.

• Has good communication skills.

• Has attention to detail and takes pride in their work.

• Is willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

No previous window fitting experience is required.

A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
