Job Description

Love people, retail and delivering great visitor experiences? We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail & Reception Assistant to become the welcoming face of Macduff Aquarium.

In this varied role, you'll provide a warm welcome to visitors, handle enquiries and bookings, process admissions and retail sales and help ensure every visitor enjoys a positive experience. You'll merchandise and promote products with confidence while supporting stock control, deliveries and daily financial administration.

You'll be a confident and friendly communicator with a passion for customer service and retail. You'll have a good standard of education, including English and Maths at Nat 5 level (or equivalent), together with previous retail and customer-facing experience and confidence using EPOS systems. Strong IT skills, accuracy, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Most importantly, you'll enjoy engaging with visitors, identifying sales opportunities and contributing to the success of the aquarium.

We offer a flexible working pattern to support our operations and regular weekend working will be required.
