Full Job Description
A lot of architecture roles talk about "interesting projects" and "great culture". The reality is that many still end up being heavily weighted towards delivering one project type, sitting in one lane, and spending years doing more of the same.
This opportunity feels different.
They are an award-winning, design-led practice with a strong reputation across Scotland and beyond, working on projects that shape places rather than simply fill them. Their work spans architecture, regeneration, urban thinking, commercial environments, cultural spaces and wider strategic developments, creating a portfolio that is genuinely varied and difficult to place neatly into a single category.
They are looking for an Architect or Project Architect to join their Glasgow studio as they continue to grow their team.
This role would suit somebody who enjoys the balance between creativity and delivery. Someone who likes strong design thinking but also understands how to turn ideas into built reality. They are not looking for somebody who wants to disappear into a corner and purely produce drawings all day. Equally, they are not looking for somebody who only wants to live in concept design. They want somebody who can see projects through, contribute ideas, engage with clients and become part of the wider conversation around what makes places work.
The successful person will have experience delivering projects through a range of stages and will be comfortable taking ownership of packages and coordinating with consultants, clients and wider teams. Strong communication skills are important because collaboration sits at the centre of how they work.
Sector experience is open. They recognise that good people do not always come from identical backgrounds and are interested in speaking with architects who have developed strong project-running skills across a variety of environments. Revit experience would be advantageous, alongside a strong understanding of technical delivery and project coordination.
What makes them particularly attractive is the type of work and environment they can offer. Their portfolio includes projects that have a genuine impact on communities and the built environment, with teams often involved in conversations at a much earlier stage than traditional architectural practices. They do not simply focus on designing buildings; they help shape places and wider experiences.
Internally, they have built a culture around collaboration, ideas and shared thinking. There is a real sense that people are encouraged to contribute rather than simply execute instructions. For somebody who wants to continue developing professionally while working on meaningful and varied projects, there is a lot to like here.
If you're an Architect or Project Architect who enjoys variety, wants exposure to high-profile work and likes the idea of joining a studio where your voice carries weight, this could be worth a conversation.
