Full Job Description

These are full-time, Architects or Technicians roles based in Dundee. Architects or Technicians will be responsible for developing concept and detailed architectural designs, preparing drawings, production information, specifications and documentation, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors. Daily activities include participating in design reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and supporting project delivery from initial briefing through to completion, acting when appropriate as Design Team Leader, Contract Administrator, and carrying out site inspections. The role also involves understanding Scottish construction details, Scottish procedures and building standards, contributing to design presentations, assisting with planning, Listed Building Consent, Scheduled Monument Consent and Building Standards applications, collaborating closely with the wider studio team to maintain design quality across multiple projects. Precise roles will vary depending upon experience and the mix of applicants we receive.


Candidates should have: 

  • Strong professional skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience delivering design-led projects.
  • Knowledge of the Scottish Planning and Building Standards systems and regulations.
  • Ability to manage project phases and coordinate stakeholders, demonstrating effective Project Management skills.
  • Familiarity with Software Development and Integration concepts as they relate to digital design tools, BIM workflows, and interoperability.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, NBS Specwriter or similar), and strong technical drawing skills.
  • Architects will be ARB registrants.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality design.
