Position

Be our Assistant Accountant! Be part of our proactive and dynamic Management Accounting Team. Use your financial acumen to make a difference and influence our services for the future!

What you will do:

Be the driving force for financial excellence. You'll be responsible for providing a comprehensive management accountancy service. It's that simple... but if you want us to be a little more specific, you will be:

  • Supporting our South Health and Social Care Partnership, and some of our corporate areas by providing professional, efficient and effective financial services to a range of stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Building effective relationships and working collaboratively and constructively with multi-professional teams across the health portfolio of the H&SCP.
  • Demonstrating sound technical accounting expertise and understanding our governance to assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, Government returns, annual accounts, audit and more routinely, monthly management reports.
  • Your analysis will be key in our decision-making across the whole health portfolio of the H&SCP and corporate areas, so your ability to draw insight, present and challenge is just as important as the technical know-how.
  • Providing clear, meaningful data to enable Senior Managers and Budget Holders to be able to make well-informed, timely decisions around budgets, service delivery and the management of budget pressures, savings and efficiencies.
  • Bringing new ideas on how we can perform better, do things differently and learn from best practice.
