Oliver Smith Recruitment is proud to be working as a preferred recruitment partner for a successful and growing business seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a hands on role, supporting month end processes, financial reporting, credit control and business performance analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role within a collaborative finance function, helping to drive financial accuracy, process improvements, and operational efficiency.

The position is based in Glasgow.

Duties:

• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Support the preparation of management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
• Reconciling monthly balance sheets and control accounts
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with audit preparation
• Supporting the Management Accountant and Finance Controller as required.
