Assistant Accountant (6-month contract)

Position: Assistant Accountant

Duration: 6 months

Location: Outskirts of Glasgow

Salary: £40,000 p.a. or day rate equivalent

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be supporting a business based on the outskirts of Glasgow with the appointment of an Assistant Accountant for an initial 6-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting external audit requirements and responding to information requests
• Assisting with month-end close processes and other ad hoc finance activities as required
• Providing ad hoc support across the finance function

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Part-Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant
• Available at short notice
