Assistant Cost Accountant

We are delighted to be working with this client as they look to add an Assistant Accountant to their Finance team for a fixed term of 9-12 months.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and wider team with the day-to-day accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial activities. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business during an exciting period of expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Check and post manufacturing hours and stock transactions.
• Complete monthly stock reconciliations and cost of sales journals.
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and complete bank reconciliations (GBP & USD).
• Report on gross margins and NCR costs.
• Ensure accurate electronic filing of financial documents.
• Support with month-end close and year-end audit preparation.
• Provide cover across the sales and purchase ledger as required.
• Assist with incoming accounts queries and calls.
