Full Job Description
BBC Studios' Scam Interceptors is looking for an experienced Assistant Producer to join our Glasgow hub on a freelance basis.
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised AP with strong research skills, excellent editorial judgement, and a keen eye for detail. The role has a huge focus on contributor casting and welfare so comparable experience is essential. You'll also help develop investigations, conduct background research, fact-check, and help the team deliver impactful stories that expose scams and protect the public. A willingness to appear on camera is key.
Key Requirements:
Experience as an Assistant Producer on factual, consumer or current affairs programming
Strong research and investigative skills
Excellent contributor management and communication skills
Good editorial judgement and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a quick turnaround production environment
